[Research Interest]

He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Sungkyunkwan University, a master's degree in information and communication management from KAIST, and a doctorate in business administration from Sungkyunkwan University. He joined the Korea Technology Exchange as a founding member and served as the head of the Technology Commercialization Headquarters, the general manager of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's new technology incubation project, and the general manager of the R&BD project, while carrying out various policies and tasks that led to the success of Korea's technology commercialization system and early-stage technology startups. After taking office at Sungkyunkwan University, he mainly conducted research and lectures on startup policies, technology commercialization, technology marketing, and technology value assessment with graduate students. He also served as the president of the Korean Productivity Society, the president of the Korean Product Safety Society, the president of the Industrial Cluster Society, and the president of the Management Education Society, and is currently the vice president of the Korean Entrepreneurship Society and the vice president of the Corporate Management Society, presenting research on startups and technology commercialization in Korea to companies and the government. Recently, he has expanded his research area to include faculty startups, also known as laboratory startups, and Korean-style i-core startups. In addition, we are trying to improve entrepreneurship education and technological start-up success in Korea through about 70 papers.
